I am very excited to announce that I was awarded a 2016 Jerome Foundation Travel and Study Grant for literature. This fall, I will be traveling to Berlin, Germany, where I will walk/bike along the former Berlin Wall and ride the full length of the U- and S-bahn system. I will be documenting these dual journeys through photographs, sound recordings, and writing— material which will inform a collection of lyric essays.
Many thanks to the staff, board members, panelists, and everyone else involved with both the Jerome Foundation and the Art and Martha Kaemmer Fund of HRK Foundation.
